WE  WERE  SHORTLISTED  FOR  ANOTHER  AWARD!!!

In view of our involvement as Northern Station Adopters at Bare Lane over the past six years, we decided to enter the Community Rail Awards for 2019, run by ACoRP (Association of Community Rail Partnerships).  We entered category 4 - Most Enhanced Station Buildings & Surroundings – and our submission was shortlisted (see Community Rail Awards 2019 shortlist).  Of the other 7 entries shortlisted nationally in this category a neighbouring station was entered by the Friends of Kents Bank Station for their Woodland, Wildlife and Waiting Room Project. Other specific North West stations shortlisted were Goostrey and Levenshulme.

The winners were -Bottesford Station (on the Nottingham – Grantham line) for the Poacher Line Community Rail Partnership - The Bee Friendly Trust - Bottesford Friendly Garden. (See https://communityrail.org.uk/resources-ideas/case-studies/bottesford-friendly-garden/)
